Week of March 1st
“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. THEN you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is, His good, pleasing and perfect will” --Romans 12:2
What a powerful
verse!! Look at the order of things here – first we
have to chose to be different than the world, then we
need to be transformed by changing our mind to focus
on Godly things, THEN we can know and do God’s
perfect will. I hope you find comfort and peace in
this verse this week!
Week of Feb 21st
Psalms 118:24
"This is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it."
As we are focusing on
being positive this month, let us acknowledge that
God has given us this very day to live, breath and
enjoy. So many things can come our way to bring
negativity into our lives. Work on having a positive
outlook this week and always.
Week of Feb 14th
Psalms 50:14
"Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God, and keep the vows you made to the Most High."
This week (and
always) let us have an attitude of gratitude in all
that we do. This verse tells us that this can be our
sacrifice to God-a thankful heart. May we all
sacrifice ourselves to Him each
day.
Week of Feb 7th
1 Corinthians 6:12b
"Everything is permissible for me, but I will not be mastered by anything."
Although this verse
is talking of several different types of sins, I feel
it can deal directly with our topic of balance this
month. When we will focus our hearts on God, we will
see that he has given us freedom from sins that can
control our lives. He does not want us to be enslaved
to diet, exercise or worldly rules, He wants us to be
focused on Him.
